Bot's edits should always start with "Bot:" or "בוט:" and include the changes it makes too. The text in that edit summery is nor Hebrew nor English. My bot doesn't fitful requirements for global bot. At ru,uk,en-wiki bot does small changes as "fixing wiki syntax". But the main requirement for global bot is only maintain interlanguage links or fix double-redirects

  • main task: changes external links which are outdated and can be successfully replaced by a new one.
  • side job: interwikis, but only supervised on single sites (done by py)

  The bot replaces urls that have to be changed. This can be only a domain change or a more complex page structure change on a website. Links are dectected with the help of the api (and not with regex) and are only replaced if the webserver of the new url returns a 200-status-response for that new resource. “Link text” is not changed.

  Of course not. My bot only replaces links which are now available with the same content on an new location. It won't also replace links with archived versions by a third party (like archiv.org or website.com).

  The last example edits whitehouse.org are replaced by a link to the official archive of the us government (archive.gov)
