מארק סנואו (באנגלית: Mark Snow; נולד כמרטין פולטרמן; 26 באוגוסט 1946 – 4 ביולי 2025) היה מלחין אמריקאי לקולנוע ולטלוויזיה.[1][2][3] בין יצירותיו הידועות ביותר, נמצאת מוזיקת הנושא של סדרת המדע הבדיוני "תיקים באפלה" (The X-Files), עליה עבד במהלך תשע עונותיה הראשונות בין השנים 1993 ל-2001. סנואו חזר להלחין גם עבור עונות ההחייאה של הסדרה, ששודרו בשנים 2015–2018. בנוסף, הלחין את הפסקול לשני סרטי הקולנוע המבוססים על הסדרה ולסדרת הספין אוף הקצרה "האקדוחנים הבודדים" (The Lone Gunmen).
קטע הנושא האינסטרומנטלי של "תיקים באפלה" יצא כסינגל בבריטניה בשנת 1996, שם שודרה הסדרה בערוצים BBC Two ו-BBC One. הסינגל הגיע למקום השני במצעד הסינגלים הבריטי.[4]
בנוסף לעבודתו על "תיקים באפלה",[5] שימש מארק סנואו כמלחין בסדרות נוספות, בהן "סמולוויל", "שוטרים בדם", "הלוחשת לרוחות", "הארט והארט", "מילניום", "מגרש ביתי", החידוש משנת 2002 של "אזור הדמדומים" ו"סטארסקי והאץ'".[3][6]
ילדות וחינוך
[עריכת קוד מקור | עריכה]מארק סנואו גדל בברוקלין, ניו יורק.[7] לאחר שסיים את לימודיו בתיכון לאמנות ומוזיקה בשנת 1964, הוא למד בבית הספר ג'וליארד. יחד עם שותפו לחדר מייקל קיימן, הקים סנואו להקה בשם "אמיל והבלשים", שלימים שינתה את שמה ל-"ניו יורק רוק אנד רול אנסמבל".[8][9][4]
