מונא באסילי סחנאווי (בערבית: منى باسيلي صحناوي; באנגלית: Mouna Bassili Sehnaoui ;נולדה ב-15 בספטמבר 1945 ^[1]^[2] באלכסנדריה, מצרים) היא ציירת לבנונית,^[3] סופרת ואמנית.

מונא באסילי סחנאווי למדה באוניברסיטה האמריקאית של ביירות^[4] ובאוניברסיטת אריזונה, טוסון, ארצות הברית ,^[5] שם למדה אמנויות. סחנאווי יוצרת במגוון תחומים ציור, כתיבה, עיצוב ופיסול. היא הציגה תערוכות יחיד בפריז, דובאי וביירות. סחנאווי חיה ועובדת בעיקר בביירות, לצד בעלה מרואן שהוא נשיא המסדר הלבנוני של מלטה^[6] ועם שני בנייה סלים וחליל.

בשנות השבעים של המאה ה-20, באסילי סחנאווי הייתה מנהלת המחלקה לאמנות גרפית של המועצה הלאומית לתיירות של לבנון. היא עיצבה והפיקה בולים, אריזות, פוסטרים ואיורי ספרים ויצרה סרטים עבור תחנת הטלוויזיה הלבנונית הציבורית. מאוחר יותר לימדה ציור וטיפוגרפיה, באוניברסיטאות בלבנון.

סגנונה מושפע מהמורשת התרבותית המזרח תיכונית כפי שמשתקף בטיפול השטוח בצבעים הן באיקונות ביזנטיות והן במיניאטורות פרסיות (אנ'). הטיפול במרחב הוא אישי מאוד ומביא מימד חדש לגישה הפיגורטיבית, על ידי שימוש בסמלים דמויי הירוגליפים ו"חלונות" הנפתחים כדי לחשוף היבט נוסף של הנושא המטופל. ^[7]

מאז תחילת שנות ה-90 היא הפיקה אלבומים של ליטוגרפיות המבוססות על אגדות פיניקיות ולמדה ציור על פורצלן, תוך כדי עבודתה כמעצבת ומאיירת. באסילי סחנאווי מציגה אמנות מאמצע שנות השישים של המאה העשרים. ציוריה הנאיביים לכאורה מתייחסים לרוב לסביבתה, לארץ ולמורשת התרבותית שלה. העבודות מציעות פרשנות אישית מאוד של המרחב שבו נמצאים צורות וקווים חודרים זה לזה בהרמוניות צבעוניות.

עבודותיה זכו במספר פרסים מטעם מוזיאון ההדפסים, באלכסנדריה, מצרים; מוזיאון סורסוק (אנ'), ביירות; העבודות שלה נמצאות באוסף האמנות של האוניברסיטה האמריקאית של ביירות; באוסף האמנות של בנק אאודי וכן באוספים פרטיים רבים ברחבי העולם.

סחנאווי עיצבה את הלוגו של משרד התרבות הלבנוני, הנמצא בשימוש נרחב, משנות ה-60, וכן כמה כרזות לעידוד התיירות במדינה.^[8]

היא ידועה גם בציוריה המתארים את מלחמת האזרחים בלבנון.^[9]^[10]
