אילן אלדד

תבנית:במאי אילן אלדד (נולד ב-28 בספטמבר 1929) הוא במאי תיאטרון, קולנוע וטלוויזיה ישראלי, שפעל גם כמפיק וכדרמטורג.

חייו

אלדד נולד בשם איוואן לאנג'יאל ביוגוסלביה, בעיר סובוטיצה, עיר רב-לאומית בת כ-100,000 תושבים אז בגבול הונגריה. רוב ילדותו עברה עליו במסעדת "לויד" של סבו. כבר בילדותו נכח במופעים שהועלו במסעדה. בשנות בית הספר השתתף כשחקן וביים הצגות בבית הספר ובתנועת הנוער הציונית. לאחר כיבוש העיר בידי ההונגרים נלקח אביו למחנות עבודה בשירות הצבא ההונגרי ונרצח. אילן גורש עם משפחתו למחנות ריכוז ועבודה בצ'כיה. אילן שרד עם אמו את השואה וחזר לעירו. לאחר המלחמה עבר לבלגרד ולמד בבית הספר לקולנוע שם והחל לעבוד במחלקת סרטי התיעוד בחברת הפקות.

במארס 1950 עלה לישראל. חי עם אמו וסבתו במעברת תלפיות והתפרנס מצילומי רחוב שצילם עוברים ושבים ליד בית הכנסת ישורון, בעזרת מצלמה של אביו. לאחר מכן התגייס לצה"ל ושירת ביחידת הצילום האווירי של חיל האוויר. עבר ליחידת ההסרטה של חיל האוויר. במסגרת זו ביים וערך מספר סרטים שזכו לפרסים בתחרויות בינלאומיות של סרטים בנושא התעופה. עם שחרורו מצה"ל עבד כעוזר במאי באולפני הרצליה והחל בשיתוף פעולה ארוך ופורה עם מרגוט קלאוזנר, במסגרתו יצר סרטי תעודה, סרטים עלילתיים, וסרטים לטלוויזיה.

לאחר תקופה של לימודים בבריטניה, שם עבד עם במאים כת'ורולד דיקנסון, קרל רייס, לינדזי אנדרסון ואחרים, חזר לישראל ועבד עם אוטו פרמינגר (כעוזר במאי בסרט "אקסודוס"), כריסטיאן ז'ק ודניאל מאן.

ב-1964 נישא לשחקנית דינה דורון. השניים שיתפו פעולה בהפקות רבות בקולנוע ובתיאטרון. לזוג שני ילדים, דן ורות אלדד-זיידנר.

בשנת 2000 החל לצד עבודתו בישראל, לביים בתיאטראות בהונגריה וביוגוסלביה, לרבות באולמות בהם ביקר כנער, ומאוחר יותר, עם התגברות האנטישמיות, נאסרה עליו הכניסה אליהם.
