Google Cloud Platform היא פלטפורמת מחשוב ענן של גוגל , המציעה לקהל הרחב שירותי אירוח ותשתית המניעים גם את החיפוש של Google ואת - YouTube.[1] פלטפורמת הענן מספקת למפתחים מוצרים ושירותים בכדי לבנות מגוון של יישומים ואתרי אינטרנט מפשוטים ועד למורכבים.[2][3]

Google Cloud Platform היא חלק מחבילת הפתרונות לעסקים של Google for Work ומספקת סט מודולרי של שירותי ענן וכלי פיתוח. לדוגמה, אירוח וביצוע חישובים, אחסון מידע מובנה, אחסון קבצים, ממשקי תרגום, ממשקי עיבוד תמונה וממשקי חיזוי.[4]

רכיבים של Google Cloud Platform

  • Google App Engine - שירות המאפשר הרצת בניית ישומי אינטרנט ויישומים למכשירים ניידים במהירות בהרצת קוד מנוהל ללא ניהול התשתית כלל, מקביל ל Amazon EC2.
  • Google Compute Engine - שירות המאפשר הרצת מכונות וירטואליות על תשתיות גוגל וחישוב מבוזר על גביהן.
  • Google Container Engine - שירות המאפשר הרצת קונטיינרים של Docker וניהולם ב Kubernetes.
  • Google CloudSQL - שירות בסיס נתונים MySQL מנוהל בענן.
  • BigQuery - פלפורמת מידע כשירות, המאפשרת ביצוע Map Reduce על נפחי מידע גדולים מאד בזמן קצר בדומה ל- Hadoop.
  • Cloud Pub/Sub - שירות תקשורת אסינכרונית בקצבים גבוהים.
  • Google Cloud Functions - מוצר בגרסת אלפא המהווה Function as a service. שירות המאפשר הפעלת פונקציות על ידי אירועים ללא פיתוח כלל. מקביל לאמזון Lambda או IBM OpenWhisk
  • ממשקים (API) לניתוח קול, תמונה ושפה טבעית.
