סיימון קריצ'לי (Simon Critchley ; נולד ב-27 בפברואר 1960) הוא פילוסוף אנגלי, פרופסור לפילוסופיה בקתדרה על שם הנס יונאס ב-NSSR (אנ'), השייכת לאוניברסיטת ניו סקול.[1]
במחקרו, קריטצ'לי מאתגר את התפיסה המקובלת במסורת העתיקה שהפילוסופיה מתחילה בפליאה, וטוען שהפילוסופיה מתחילה באכזבה.[2] קריטצ'לי מתייחס במיוחד לשתי צורות מסוימות של אכזבה: "אכזבה דתית" ו"אכזבה פוליטית". בעוד אכזבה דתית נובעת מחוסר אמונה ומובילה לבעיית משמעות החיים מול הניהיליזם, אכזבה פוליטית נובעת מהעולם האלים בו אנו חיים, ומעלה את שאלת הצדק בעולם לא צודק ואלים.[3] בנוסף, לשני תחומי מחקר אלה, עבודותיו האחרונות של קריטצ'לי עסקו בצורות כתיבה ניסיוניות יותר,אודות שייקספיר, דייוויד בואי, התאבדות, הטרגדיה היוונית וכדורגל.
