In 1959 the new Farina shaped bodies were introduced at Austin, the compact was the A40 Farina, the mid size, the A55 Cambridge and the large, the A99 Westminster, the Wolseley 6/99 following shortly after in 1959, was pretty much the same car, just a bit more upmarket, like other Wolseleys, with polished timber dash and leather seats. The similar Vanden Plas Princess was more upmarket again. The 6/99 was built from 1959 and was updated with this car, the 6/110 in 1961, it got more power and now got a floor shift. A Mk II was introduced in 1964 with smaller 13 inch wheels, production ended in 1968
