JP9938 When I saw this coming I nearly died, such was the shock of actually seeing a 604 right in front of me! I spoke to the owner for ages about it and it turns out he also has: -another 604 -404 -504 - -104 (I never realised there were any in NZ) -204 -304 -405 He also says he knows of at least one Renault 14 in NZ (!), amongst most other Peugeots and Renaults made after 1970. It would appear they were all available here new, but did not sell in big numbers. I was particularly interested when he suggested there might be an 18 Turbo hiding somewhere in Otago/Southland as well... This particular 604 was ordered from the factory through a Peugeot dealership here and the the man who ordered it travelled to France to collect it. He then drove it through France and Spain before having it shipped home to NZ in late 1980. |
