In the upper left quarter, a dog with a torch in its mouth represents fidelity and civilization ,in the upper right, palm trees, which are symbols of Baracoa's flora and typical local landscape, in the lower left, the Bay of Baracoa with 3 ships , the anvil and first urban establishment, and in the lower right, one of the ships of the expedition in which Diego Velázquez arrived at the coast of Baracoa. source: https://www.ecured.cu/Escudo_de_Baracoa
Español: El cuerpo del escudo está dividido en cuatro cuartos.
