בארכאולוגיה, צַלְמִית היא פסלון קטן ממדים בצלם אדם או בעל חיים. צלמיות יוצרו מחומרים שונים, בעיקר טין, אבן ומתכת. על פי הצלמיות ניתן ללמוד על מנהגי פולחן, אורחות חיים ומנהגים של התרבויות השונות לאורך ההיסטוריה. מקום הימצאן הפיזי בחפירה ארכאולוגית והקשרן (בבית, במצבור אשפה, במבנה פולחני וכדומה) מאפשר הסקת מסקנות לגבי תכליתן, כגון חפצי קדושה, פוריות וקמע מזל.

המקומות העיקריים בהם נתגלו צלמיות פרהיסטוריות, הם אזורים שונים באירואסיה בתקופה הפלאוליתית, ביפן בתקופת ג'ומון, במזרח התיכון בתקופה הנאוליתית ובמסואמריקה בתקופה הפרה קלאסית (בין 1,200 לפנה"ס ל-200 לפנה"ס).^[1]
