The XF Falcon was built from Oct 1984-Feb 1988.
The XF was the 2nd facelift on the European looking XD. The XF got a new front and rear giving the car a more rounded look, the interior completely redesigned too.
Fairmont Ghias got a trip computer, climate control and digital instrumentation
In Jan 86 engines were revised to run unleaded, identified by small indicator on side of bumper.
In Oct 86, the facelift; (this car) got body coloured bumpers and grille, the Ghia got body coloured mirrors.

The S pack, optional on the GL, featured body stripes, fog lamps, styled wheels, 'S' badging and sports instrument cluster.
With the new E Series Falcons, introduced in 1988, there were no utilitys, so the XF ute continued on until 1998, it received 2 face lifts (the XG and XH) during this time.
