@קיפודנחש Hello and apologies for the English. I wanted to make you aware of phab:T315539. If I understand correctly, this gadget basically changes what "auto-confirmed" is. Instead of using a gadget and AbuseFilter to hack in a different protection level, why not change what defines (auto-)confirmed in the wiki configuration? @User:MusikAnimal: just to complete the picture: this gadget does not change what "autoconfirmed" is on hewiki.

this was already previously done by "abuse filter" #109, which is operating for almost a year now, after wikimedia failure/refusal/feet dragging honoring the community request.

this script is meant to prevent editors "in limbo" (autoconfirmed by site-settings, but not by community standards) from editing, to reduce frustrations, since they won't be able to "publish" anyway, due to abuse filter. the filter blocks "move" also, which this script does not bother with - it's only purpose is to shield the "limbo" users from wasted work. as the phab story you linked to shows, this shield is not perfect.
