לקנמב, נמכרת תחת השם Leqembi, מבוססת על נוגדנים חד שבטיים נגד עמילואיד בטא^[1] לטיפול במחלת אלצהיימר . ניתנת באמצעות עירוי תוך ורידי.

תופעות לוואי

לקנמב עלול לגרום להפרעות הדמיה הקשורות לעמילואיד (AIRA). ^[1]

מנגנון פעולה

לקנמב הוא נוגדן חד שבטי המורכב מגרסה מואנשת ^[4] של נוגדן עכבר, mAb158, המזהה פרוטופיברילים ומונע שקיעת עמילואיד בטא במודלים של בעלי חיים של מחלת אלצהיימר. ^[5]

מצב משפטי

בינואר 2023, ה-FDA העניק אישור מואץ לתרופה. ^[1] ^[6] ה-FDA אישר את הבקשה למסלול מהיר של lecanemab לחברת Eisai R&D Management Co., Ltd. ^[1]
