The Embassy of Laos is located at 2222 S Street NW in Washington, D.C. The building was constructed in 1929 as the residence of Senator David A. Reed and was designed by Carrère and Hastings. The building is a contributing property to the Sheridan-Kalorama Historic District. Before the Laotian government purchased the building in 1956, occupants included Secretary Dwight F. Davis, Hungarian Ambassador George de Ghika, and the Embassy of Canada's Office of Military Attaché and Air Attaché.
