English: Statue of King Yoga Narendra Malla on a stone pillar near Jwala Narasimha Temple in front of Patan Durbar Square, a historical site in Lalitpur district. This pillar and statue were erected in 1692 by King Yoga Narendra Malla. Along with his idol, there is also a statue of his son Siddhi Narasingh Malla II. King Yoga Narendra was the successor of King Shri Niwas Malla. King Shri Niwas Malla had revolted against his own father King Siddhinar Singh Malla to claim the throne. Unfortunately, his son Yoga Narendra Malla also revolted to snatch the throne from him. King Yoga Narendra Malla was an intelligent king and had a strong belief in his religion. Sensing that the historic event of the assassination of Rajgadadi had been repeated, Srinivas Malla voluntarily installed his own son, Yoga Narendra Malla, in the Rajprasad of Lalitpur state in 1684 BS with his own hand. He is the one who kept his statue in the courtyard of Lalitpur Durbar and wrote that I will live till the bird on my statue flies away. When he died in 1705, evidence was found that 33 queens had been Sati (dead) with his body.
