English: The declaration of the Ultra-Orthodox rabbis of Czechoslovakia and Hungary, convened in w:Chop, Zakarpattia Oblast and headed by Grand Rebbe w:Chaim Elazar Spira (signature: top right), which banned their followers from any contact with the newly established w:World Agudath Israel. The decision decries the Agudah as Zionist. Among the signatories are Rabbi w:Joel Teitelbaum of w:Irshava, (top, second to the right) and w:dayyan w:Yonasan Steif (bottom, right). |
