Every year during the winter season, the combat soldiers of the Alpine Unit are dispatched to Mt. Hermon, after having been trained to operate under extreme weather conditions. Sgt. Lior Ziv photographed some of the soldiers of the Alpine Unit training during an exercise in Mt. Hermon.

Sgt. Lior Ziv was a photographer in the IDF Spokesperson's Unit. During his army service, he took thousands of photos ranging from portraits of senior commanders, combat training exercises, and soldier musicians.
