אייל חזק
אייל חזק (באנגלית: Strong ale) הוא סוג של אייל, בדרך כלל מעל 5% אלכוהול בנפח ולעיתים גבוה יותר, בין 7 לבין 11%, המשתרע על פני מספר סגנונות בירה, כולל אייל ישן, יין שעורה ואייל ברטון.[1][2][3][4] אייל חזק מיוצר ברחבי אירופה ומחוצה לה, כולל באנגליה, בלגיה וארצות הברית.[5][6]
היסטוריה[עריכת קוד מקור | עריכה]
אייל סקוטי שימש לראשונה ככינוי לאייל החזק למיניהם שיוצאו מאדינבורו במאה ה-18.[7][8] אייל סקוטי מכונה לפעמים "wee heavy" בתרגום חופשי "כבד במקצת".[9][10]
