ספיד גראז' או פלוס-8[1] הוא תת-ז'אנר מוזיקלי של מוזיקת דאנס אלקטרונית, המשויך לסצנת הגראז' הבריטי, שבו הוא נחשב לאחד מתתי הז'אנרים שלו.[2]
מאפיינים[עריכת קוד מקור | עריכה]
ספיד גראז' כולל מקצבים מואצים של גראז' האוס בסגנון של ארבע על הרצפה (אנ'), בשילוב עם מוזיקת ברייקביט (אנ').[3] כמו כן, ביצירות ספיד גראז', יש שימוש בשקשוק מועט של תופי הסנר (אנ').[4] בנוסף לכך, למנגינות ספיד גראז', יש בייסליין מעוות וכבד, המושפע ממוזיקת ג'אנגל[5] ורגאיי,[6] וכן שימוש בצליל בס סוחף ושבירת קצב (אנ').[7][8] לעיתים, ביצירות ספיד גראז' ניתן למצוא שירה שנמתחה בזמן.[9] מאחר שתת-ז'אנר מוזיקלי זה מושפע מאוד ממוזיקת ג'אנגל, ישנו שימוש רב באפקטים קוליים של מוזיקת ג'אנגל ומוזיקת דאב, כגון יריות וסירנות.[10][11]
התקליטן האמריקאי ראמנד ואן הלדן (אנ') נחשב כחלוץ הספיד גראז', ביו היתר לאחר שהוציא ב-1996 גרסת רמיקס Dark Garage לשיר "Spin Spin Sugar" (אנ') של Sneaker Pimps (אנ').[12]
