בית ספירה
בית ספירה, או חדר ספירה, היה באופן מסורתי משרד שבו נשמרו ספרי הכספים של בית העסק. [1] זה היה גם המקום בו קיבל העסק פגישות והתכתבויות הנוגעות לדרישות תשלום. [2]
ככל שהתפשט השימוש בבתי ספירה במאה ה-19, כך גדל גם המוניטין שלהם כמקומות עבודה לא נוחים ומשמימים. [3]
