תקיפות הכרישים בניו ג'רזי היו סדרה של תקיפות כרישים לאורך החוף של ניו ג'רזי, ארצות הברית, בין ה-1 ביולי ל-12 ביולי 1916, שבה נהרגו ארבעה אנשים ואחד נפצע ברגלו השמאלית[1][2][3][4][5][6][7][8][9]. מאז 1916, חוקרים דנו אילו מינים של כרישים היו אחראיים לתקיפות. הכריש הלבן והכריש השורי היו הכרישים הנצפים ביותר. האירועים התרחשו במהלך גל חום קטלני שהיה בקיץ ומגפת הפוליומייליטיס שהתפשטה בארצות הברית, הביאו אלפי אנשים לחופי הים של ניו ג'רזי.
התגובות על ההרוגים גרמה לגל של פאניקה שהוביל לציד כרישים שמטרתו היה לחסל את אוכלוסיית הכרישים התוקפים, ולהגן על כלכלת חופי הים של ניו ג'רזי. עיירות הנופש הוקפו ברשתות פלדה כדי להגן על השחיינים.
תקיפות הכרישים בניו ג'רזי נכנסו מיד לתרבות בארצות הברית, שבה הכרישים הפכו לקריקטורות שמייצגות סכנה. ההתקפות הפכו לנושא של סרטי תעודה בערוץ ההיסטוריה, בערוץ נשיונל ג'יאוגרפיק ובערוץ דיסקברי[10][11][12][13].

Hundreds of men and women and many children were on the beach this afternoon when a swimmer, far out beyond the outer life lines, raised a cry for help. George White and Chris Anderson, life guards, who had been watching the swimmer closely because of his distance from shore, launched a lifeboat and started for him while the crowd on the beach watched in suspense and fear.
