עמנואל פסטרייך (בסינית: 贝一明, בקוריאנית: 임마누엘 페스트라이쉬, ביפנית: エマニュエル・パストリッチ[1]; נולד בנאשוויל, טנסי, 7 באוקטובר 1964) הוא איש אקדמיה אמריקאי הפעיל בעיקר בקוריאה. פסטרייך הוא פרופסור באוניברסיטת קיונג היי[2][3] ומנהל מכון אסיה בסיאול, הכותב על הספרות הקלאסית של מזרח-אסיה[4][5][6][7] וכמו כן על נושאים שוטפים ביחסים בינלאומיים וטכנולוגיה.[8][9] סטרייך הכריז על מועמדותו לנשיא ארצות הברית כעצמאי בפברואר 2020 וממשיך במסע הבחירות שלו ונשא נאומים רבים שקראו לגישה טרנספורמטיבית לביטחון וכלכלה.

פסטרייך למד בתיכון לוואל בסן פרנסיסקו וסיים את לימודיו בשנת 1983. לאחר מכן החל את לימודיו באוניברסיטת ייל עד לשנת 1987 שבה סיים תואר BA בסינית.[10] תוך כדי לימודיו בקולג' למד גם באוניברסיטה הלאומית של טאייוון.[11] בשנת 1991 סיים את לימודיו לתואר MA בספרות השוואתית באוניברסיטת טוקיו,[12] שם כתב את עבודת המאסטר כולה ביפנית (The Late Edo Literatus Tanomura Chikuden; The Uselessness of Painting and Poetry). לאחר מכן חזר לארצות הברית ובשנת 1998 סיים את לימודי הדוקטורט בתחום לימודי מזרח אסיה באוניברסיטת הרווארד.[13] עבד כפרופסור באוניברסיטת אילינוי באורבנה-שמפיין,[14][15] אוניברסיטת ג'ורג' וושינגטון[14] ובית הספר הבינלאומי סולברידג' לנהול עסקים.[16] פסטרייך משמש כפרופסור בקולג' ליחסים בינלאומיים באוניברסיטת קיונג היי, סיאול.[2][3]

פסטרייך שמש כיועץ ליחסים בינלאומיים למושל מחוז צ'ונגנאם,[17] כיועץ ליחסי חוץ בתאגיד המחקר Daedeok Innopolis, ובשנים 2010 ו-2012 מונה לנהל את מנהל העיר והשקעות חוץ עבור העיר טג'אן.[18][19]
