GLOW היא סדרת קומדיה אמריקאית אשר נוצרה על ידי ליז פלייהייב וקרלי מנש.[1] הסדרה היא גרסה בדיונית של דמויות וגימיקים של האיגוד המקצועי להיאבקות נשים משנות ה-1980, ארגון Gorgeous Ladies of Wrestling ‏(GLOW) אשר הוקם במקור על ידי דייוויד מקליין.[2] העונה הראשונה כוללת 10 פרקים[3] ויצאה בנטפליקס ב-23 ביוני 2017.[4] ב-10 באוגוסט 2017, נטפליקס חידשה את הסדרה לעונה שנייה בת 10 פרקים, שיצאה ב-29 ביוני 2018,[5] ולעונה שלישית שעלתה לאוויר ב-9 באוגוסט 2019 וכוללת 10 פרקים גם היא.

הסדרה חודשה לעונה רביעית ואחרונה, אולם הפקתה נעצרה ובאוקטובר 2020 "נטפליקס" הפכה את החלטתה וביטלה את הסדרה. זאת בעקבות מגפת הקורונה.

בלוס אנג'לס ב-1985, רות ויילדר היא שחקנית מתחילה, אשר מגיעה לאודישן יחד עם עוד עשרות נשים צעירות, ומגלה שמדובר בתוכנית היאבקות מקצועית (GLOW). היא מתכתשת עם הבמאי סם סילביה בשל נטייתה למשחק יתר. כאשר חברתה הטובה ביותר לשעבר, וכעת אויבתה הגדולה ביותר, כוכבת אופרת הסבון לשעבר דבי איגן מגיעה לזירה, העימות ביניהן מבטיח להיות הגורם להצלחת או מפלת התוכנית.

הרעיון לסדרה הגיע כאשר פלייהייב ומנש, שבאותו הזמן חיפשו לעשות תוכנית חדשה שבמרכזה נשים, נתקלו בסרט התיעודי משנת 2012 GLOW: The Story of the Gorgeous Ladies of Wrestling.[15][16] לפני שיצרו את הסדרה, שתי היוצרות מעולם לא שמעו על GLOW, והן אהבו את הרעיון להפוך אותו לבסיס לגרסה בדיונית בסדרה. הן ראו זאת כדרך לחקור את התוצאות של התנועה לשחרור האישה של שנות ה-1970, ולשאול את השאלה: "האם זה עבד? האם המצב השתפר?" ולצורך כך, היה זה היה חשוב עבור הסדרה לשמור על המתח בין השאלות, האם הליגה ניצלה נשים, או העצימה אותן?.
