O Holy Night (בצרפתית: Cantique de Noël או !Minuit Chretiens, ובעברית: לילה קדוש) הוא מזמור חג המולד ידוע משנת 1847, אותו הלחין המלחין הצרפתי אדולף אדם וחיבר פלאסיד קאפו. מזמור חג המולד מדבר על לידת ישו ועל גאולת האנושות.

היסטוריה

"O Holy Night" - גרסת פסנתר

בשלהי 1843 שופצה הכנסייה ברוקמואר. כדי לחגוג את המאורע, התבקש פלאסיד קאפו, יליד העיר, לכתוב שיר הקשור לחג המולד. קאפו נענה להצעה והחל בכתיבת השיר. בסמוך לכך, אדולף אדם החל להלחין אותו.

לבסוף, לאחר שהותאם הלחן של אדולף אדם למילותיו של פלאסיד קאפו, ביצעה אמילי לורי לראשונה את השיר במלואו.

רקע

לבסוף, הקליטה את השיר הזה מחדש, אותו הוציאה כסינגל השלישי והאחרון מתוך האלבום.
