דייק (באנגלית: Dyke) הוא סלנג לתיאור אישה לסבית. במקור, המונח שומש ככינוי גנאי הומופובי לנשים גבריות, בוצ'יות או אנדרוגיניות. כיום, המונח משמש גם כרמז לאסרטיביות וקשיחות.[1][2]
היסטוריה
[עריכת קוד מקור | עריכה]ב-1971, המשוררת האמריקאית, ג'ודי גרהן (אנ'), פרסמה את השיר "The Psychoanalysis of Edward the Dyke".[3][4] השימוש במונח דייק העצים את הקהילה הלסבית מאחר שעד כה הוא הופעל רק ככינוי גנאי.[5]
בסוף המאה ה-20 ותחילת המאה ה-21, החל המונח דייק להיחשב כמונח של גאווה והעצמה.[6][7] הקומיקסאית האמריקאית, אליסון בכדל, מחברת רצועת הקומיקס "Dykes to Watch Out For" (אנ'), אמרה שהשימוש במונח דייק הוא "אקטיביזם לשוני".[7][8][9][10]
מחלוקת בפייסבוק
[עריכת קוד מקור | עריכה]ביוני 2017, פייסבוק צנזרה את השימוש במילה דייק באתר האינטרנט שלה וטענה שזהו "תוכן פוגעני".[11][12][13] החלטה זו הובילה לעצומת מחאה שנוצרה באתר העצומות האמריקאי, Change.org (אנ'), על ידי קולקטיב ה-Lensing 2 Lesbians, שנחתמה על ידי 7,247 תומכים.[14]
מצעד הדייקות
[עריכת קוד מקור | עריכה]מצעד הדייקיות הוא אירוע גאווה פופולרי ברחבי ארצות הברית וקנדה. המשימה המוצהרת של מצעד הדייקות בבוסטון, למשל, היא "לספק מרחב דינמי ומסביר פנים למשתתפים מכל נטייה מינית, מגדר, גזע, גיל, מוצא אתני, גודל, רקע כלכלי ויכולות פיזיות".[15] מצעד הדייקות הראשון בבריטניה נערך בלונדון ב-2012.[16] ב-2013, החל לפעול מצעד הדייקות בברלין, גרמניה.[17][18] במקסיקו, ה-Marcha Lésbica נוסד במרץ 2003, ומתקיים מדי שנה במקסיקו סיטי.[19][20][21]
